First Cowboy Game

Colton went to his first Cowboy's game! We went to the last pre-season game in Texas Stadium against the Minnesota Vikings. He enjoyed the game. He said his favorite thing about the game was cheerleaders dancing and he also liked Cowboy Tex (but he was different from the other guys). He had a lot of fun. Best of all, the Cowboys won 16 to 10.

He's looking forward to the next time he gets to go :D

Kindergarten is here!

Colton started kindergarten Monday. He's in the afternoon class that starts around noon and lasts until 3.

He seems to be enjoying his classes. They read a book in class and, from what I can tell, I think he said he was able to answer some questions about the story. Colton likes reading, so I'm not very surprised by this.

I keep asking about who he's met, but he doesn't seem to be remembering names. That's the one thing that concerns me. He is doing a decent job of interacting with others, and he can recognize them when he sees them, but he isn't remembering their names. I'm hoping this gets better as he gets older.

I'll have more as the year goes on!

10 more days and then it begins!

It's hard to believe, but after nearly 6 years, Colton starts kindergarten! His first day will be August 25. He's very excited. Whenever we talk to him about it, you can tell he's ready to go. We'll meet the teacher next week and then the next Monday, school begins.

Baseball and Kindergarten

Colton got to go to his first professional sports game. He and his brother went to see the Texas Rangers play the Toronto Blue Jays last Friday. I was at work, so I didn't get to go, but I hear the Rangers won and they had a great time. I'll try to see if I can get someone to post more info about their experience.

And, though it is hard to believe, it is time to register Colton for Kindergarten. I'll be going by tomorrow and registering him. In just a few weeks, he'll have his first day of school.

Colton in a parade!

Colton in his school's Independence Day parade.
I just got home a little while ago from seeing Colton in a parade. His school had a "July 4" parade today.

I've added some of the pictures that I took of the parade. There were a lot of cute costumes by some of the different classes, but I didn't get many pictures of them

Enjoy!Colton waves a flag in his parade.

Welcome to Colton's Corner's new Blog!

Wow! I know it has been a long time since I updated the site, but hopefully, this new addition will make "updating' easier! I'm still going to do the other type of pages, but the blog format will make for quick, up-to-date info.

The visual template you might be seeing on the blog is only temporary as I work on integrating the format of the blog to the format of the site.
